Kyle Rudolph has supplied a solid floor most weeks this season

Jimmy Graham, Seahawks: Graham is second on the Seahawks in receiving yards and targets, so do you think he has a big game in his return to New Orleans? Yeah, me too. He’s an easy top-five play.

Kyle Rudolph has supplied a solid floor most weeks this season. Will he continue to produce on Monday Night Football this week? Andy Lewis/Icon Sportswire
Kyle Rudolph, Vikings: Yes, it was another slow week, but look closer at last week’s box score. He was targeted 11 times and actually leads the Vikes in targets this season. Facing a Bears squad that is 22nd against the pass over the past four weeks, Rudolph has at least 55 yards or a touchdown in five of six games this season, and I expect that to continue Rene Bourque Jersey Monday night. Such is the state of the tight end position that that stat is actually impressive. Rudolph is a top-10 play for me.

In 2014 and 2015, Aussies bet $7.1 billion and lost nearly $815 million on sports, according to the recently released 32nd edition of Australian Gambling Statistics. Both figures are records and sharp spikes from the previous year. The data mirrors the increase of sports bettors seeking help for gambling addiction.

Advertising is at the heart of the debate in Australia. According to gambling researcher Sally Gainsbury, the Australian market became so flooded with gambling advertising in recent years that consumers began complaining.

“It was similar to what you were Ryan Johansen Jersey seeing [in the U.S.] with the [daily] fantasy advertising,” Gainsbury said. “Sports events are just now completely dominated by sports betting advertising. All throughout the sporting events you’re seeing these complete bombardments of advertising for betting. And community members are now saying, ‘Hey, my kids are watching this.’ Gambling was supposed to be put be off to the corner and now it’s front and center.”

“The average problem gambler that seeks treatment has gambling debt twice their average annual income,” Whyte said. “The vast majority of that does not come from formal casino credit. It’s either personal credit card or credit from a bookie, informal credit. [For problem gamblers], the substance abuse is money. If you’re at risk for a gambling problem and you’re betting on unsecured credit, if and when you start to lose, you can rapidly find yourself in severe problems.”

A shift in integrity of the game issues

At a September gaming conference, four respected Las Vegas sportsbook directors were asked how many games in the past three years they had deemed suspicious enough to contact authorities.

“None,” said Bob Scucci, a veteran bookmaker who ran the Stardust during its prime and is now in charge of all the Boyd Gaming sportsbooks in Nevada.

A quick Google search of a very specific “Caillou sucks” returns over 91,000 entries. Have you ever watched this show? He is a whiny, spoiled, bratty kid who is neither interesting nor redeeming in any way shape or form. Caillou always gets what he wants by whining and my kids love this dumb show and I have had to forbid it because they were learning you can get what you want by whining. I don’t care if a show is “bad,” just don’t be dangerous! This show is dangerous. If you take one thing away from my column this entire year it’s don’t let your kids watch “Caillou.” Yes, it’s weird that he’s 4 years old and bald. And he only wears clothes of mismatched primary colors. But that’s not my issue. I mean, I’m on board with toys who talk as soon as humans leave the room. I don’t question a 16-year-old mermaid wanting to run away from her dad to get married to a guy she’s seen once and only spends three days with even though she can’t talk. I am not a tough sell here.

Brandon Marshall challenges Antonio Brown to outplay him or give him his Rolls Royce

Here’s Antonio Brown’s new Rolls Royce hanging out at Steelers training camp:

Things just got interesting.

Nope.

Only Jets linebacker David Harris Michael Schofield Authentic Womens Jersey came close. He said: “They wanted it more than we did. We played like we took that game for granted. You don’t have long to look back in this league. You’ve got to move on.”

The first part, I like. The second part, not so much.

Maybe the Jets are just being coy about it, but Paxton Lynch Authentic Womens Jersey I think every play of that game and every component of the preparation for it should have been examined with the highest scrutiny. First by Bowles, then by every coach and player, individually and collectively. NFL teams scout players, scout opponents with fervor. The best ones self-scout with as much intensity. This is how a team learns. How it grows. How it improves.

I think Bowles has the makings of a fine coach, but if I were a Jets fan, I would be critically concerned about a season where I was led to a scintillating edge and then witnessed a total collapse. In this league, a team has to play its best football when it matters most or it has no chance of being a champion. And that is an art that is cultivated, carved from inside-out.

Sure, Bowles tackled the emperor of the AFC East, Bill Belichick, and finished 1-1 against him in the division in his first year. But to go 0-2 against Ryan, the man Bowles supplanted? To allow Ryan to outcoach him and kick him out of the playoffs in the season finale?

It is unacceptable, alarming.

I am reminded of what the late, tremendous coach Dennis Green had to say about this, about one of the most essential things for a new NFL head coach on the job: “The first time and every time you play against the guy that you replaced or they thought about hiring instead of you, you had better whip his ass. You know what I mean?”

If Rex Ryan sweeps Todd Bowles again this season, it will be quite clear to Bowles what Green means. If the Jets tank again late in the season with a solid playoff shot in play, Bowles is going to hear it in New York unlike he’s ever heard it.

So, welcome back, Fitz. Nice to see Matt Forte here. The defense looks capable. Offensive coordinator Chan Gailey is one of the deluxe ones in the game. The Jets look a little younger, a little faster, especially with rookie linebacker Darron Lee. I sure hope second-year receiver Devin Smith can stay healthy –?? I believe he can be spectacular.

But none of it matters if the Jets don’t fix their mental game when the prize is at their fingertips. If they don’t completely study, understand, and fix what the hell happened in Buffalo.

The Jets cannot have a second straight season where they build a steady car –?? only, in the end, to have the engine fall out.

Brett Favre sounds like he still wants to play

Brett Favre bounced in and out of retirement before finally hanging up the cleats for good after the 2010 season. But you can tell the nostalgia and festivities surrounding Hall of Fame week in Canton has given him the itch to play again. He teased the idea twice this week, in a very Favre-esque way.

“I’m going to ask Mike McCarthy and Corey Coleman Jersey Ted Thompson if I can play the first series tomorrow night,” Favre said when he opened his speech on Saturday night. The Packers play in Sunday night’s preseason Hall of Fame game.

Earlier in the week, he was putting himself in a Cowboys uniform, but with one condition: they guarantee that he won’t get hit.

BOSA HOLDOUT CONTINUES: The Joey Bosa situation is part of a decades-old pattern for the Chargers. There’s a lot of Chargers fans who are insisting that first-round draft pick Joey Bosa end his holdout and acquiesce to the Chargers’ demands. Those fans are wrong. An interesting theory we talked about on the podcast this week: maybe the Chargers don’t actually have the money to pay him.

EXHIBITION ALL PROS: 14 NFL preseason All-Stars from Week 1. These are the 14 best players from the preseason so far. Some of them you’re heard of, some of them you’ll probably never hear of again.

ROOKIE QUARTERBACKS RULE: Rookie quarterbacks stole the show on Saturday, but not the ones you expected. Three rookie quarterbacks shined –– and none of them were Jared Goff.

RAMS CONTENT WITH MEDIOCRITY: Jeff Fisher downplays talk of contract extension. Come on, Rams. You can’t let a head coach like this get away. He might have a winning season sometime over the next three years even. Maybe. He’s only had two winning seasons in the last 11 years and is only 10 wins away from owning the NFL record for most losses.

WENTZ HOPES TO RETURN: Carson Wentz hopes to return during the preseason. The Eagles rookie has a hairline fracture on his ribs, and he can’t take contact for two to four weeks.

The weather presented a little bit of a problem for the concert itself, but not enough to shut it down.

Nevertheless, the NFL slapped some paint on it and decided to have a game, until people actually saw what the field looked and felt like on Sunday afternoon.

The stadium was even getting rave reviews on Friday night.

Maybe it’s time for Tony Romo to hang it up

Tony Romo has broken bone in back, and might not be back until midseason. If you’re keeping track at home, this is the fourth year in a row that Romo will miss time with a major injury. And this isn’t the first time his back has been a problem for him. He had back surgery in 2013, had two fractured vertebrae in 2014 and now this. (A broken collar bone was his undoing last season.)

Romo’s 36 years old. He’s been Jake Rudock Jersey a good quarterback, when he’s healthy, but it seems like that just doesn’t happen much anymore. Worse, he’s got a bad tendency to lobby himself back into action no matter how hurt he is, and a team that’s been all too willing to support that.

Now 31, Goldson may not have much Jon Bostic Jersey left in the tank and his reputation precedes him at this point. The Falcons signed him to add more depth to their secondary in the wake of rookie first-round safety Keanu Neal’s knee injury, which he suffered against the Dolphins Thursday. Neal is expected to miss three to four weeks, and Goldson could fill his spot until he returns.

“We’re confident that he’s going to be coming back and playing football for us this year,” Garrett told reporters.

While Garrett said the injury will be evaluated day-to-day and declined to give reporters a timetable for Romo’s recovery, Pro Football Talk reports it will be a 6-10 week absence for Romo.

If that’s the case, it will likely mean the Cowboys rely on rookie Dak Prescott to be the team’s starter at the beginning of the season. The fourth-round draft pick from Mississippi State has been nothing short of sensational in preseason, completing 39 of 50 passes for 454 yards, five touchdowns and no interceptions.

Romo played in just four games during the 2015 season, helping the Cowboys to a 3-1 record in those starts. However, the team was 1-11 in the 12 games he missed and Dallas finished 4-12, its worst record since 1989.

Over the weekend, the Broncos had a team luncheon, and Sanchez shared a photo of the program via Instagram.

That’s not Mark Sanchez. That’s kicker Brandon McManus.

We’re not sure what happened here, but it’s possible the Broncos simply don’t even know who Mark Sanchez is. Perhaps they actively tried to forget about Sanchez after he fumbled the ball twice in a 45-second span against the 49ers in Week 2 of the preseason.

Or maybe the Broncos just really like Brandon McManus. According to McManus, the reason behind this error is probably just that he’s extremely handsome.

Seahawks docked 5th-round pick, week of OTAs for excessive contact in offseason practices

The Seattle Seahawks violated rules that prohibit excessive contact in offseason workouts and will lose practice time and a draft pick as punishment, the NFL announced on Monday.

Many have Denzel Perryman Jersey criticized players’ decisions to protest during the anthem, but Jenkins says he won’t compromise the truth for others’ comfort.

“If it comes down to making somebody uncomfortable by speaking the truth, then I’ll always make you Donald Butler Jersey uncomfortable with the truth, [rather] than make you feel comfortable with a lie,” Jenkins said via Matt Mullin of the Philly Voice.

“I respect players’ decisions. It’s something they … everybody has their right to either protest or whatever they’re going to do,” Pederson said. “Malcolm and I have talked about this, and it’s going to happen regardless of what I decide or say, and I respect the players’ decisions on it.”

The Eagles had discussed a protest during the season opener at home against the Cleveland Browns, but players decided they did not want to interfere with recognition of the 15th anniversary of September 11, 2001 and the families who were impacted by it.

Malcolm Jenkins said the protest is specifically to spark dialogue on various social injustices.

“For me, it has nothing to do with this country or the flag or the anthem in itself,” Jenkins said on Sportsradio 94WIP. “Really, it’s just to continue to push forward the conversation about social injustice, and that’s a range of things from police brutality to wages and job opportunities, education.

“There’s just a lot of things systematically that have been set up in this country since its inception that put minorities, especially African-Americans, at a disadvantage when you talk about quality of life and actually growing in this country.”

Russell Wilson was playing through a high ankle sprain he suffered in Week 1 against the Miami Dolphins, and the injury may have slowed him down. Wilson was sacked twice and fumbled the ball once.

Prior to Sunday’s game, Wilson had an active streak of 17 straight games with a passing touchdown, which was the longest in the NFL. San Francisco 49ers quarterback Blaine Gabbert now has the longest active streak with 12.

Kershaw allowed one run over eight innings to lead the Los Dodgers to a 5 win over the Milwaukee Brewers

Menu Milwaukee, WI – Another day, another quality pitching performance by Kershaw. Kershaw Kurt Rambis Jersey allowed one run over eight innings to lead the Los Dodgers to a 5 win over the Milwaukee Brewers the finale of a three-game set. Kershaw improved to 11 during a stretch which the Dodgers have won 13 straight when he has taken the hill. Adrian Gonzalez went 2-for-3 with two doubles, two RBI and a run scored for Los, which salvaged the final game of the series to snap a two-game skid. A.J. homered and Kemp had RBI the win. probably didn’t have his best stuff and he was fighting against himself, said. To go eight and keep that team to one run, it was a clinic on how to win when you don’t have close to your best stuff. Jimmy took the loss after giving up two runs on eight hits over six innings of work. had a pair of hits and knocked the lone run for Milwaukee, which had won four of its last five coming. Carlos Gomez opened the first with a walk, stole his 25th bag of the when Lucroy struck out and scored on ‘s single to left. Los tied the game the third on a sacrifice fly by Gonzalez. With Aramis Ramirez batting, attempted to advance to third on another wild pitch.

After initially being ruled safe, Dodgers manager Mattingly challenged the call and video review showed third baseman Uribe just getting before he reached the bag. Ramirez grounded out and Khris struck out to end the frame. Following a double from Gonzalez, Kemp delivered RBI single to left that gave the Dodgers a 2 edge. With Weeks on third and one out the fifth, Segura attempted a suicide squeeze. His first attempt went foul, then Kershaw came and made a diving catch on a popped bunt attempt. The southpaw alertly doubled Weeks off third to end the inning. We missed a squeeze which would have changed the ball game, said Brewers manager Roenicke. It was a good game but it just got away from us a little bit at the end. Gonzalez’s second double of the game plated Crawford to give Kershaw and the Dodgers insurance run the seventh. A.J. increased the margin with his first of the, a solo shot to left center the eighth. Kenley Jansen struck out two a scoreless ninth to wrap up the win. Game Notes Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig was held out of the lineup to rest a sore back… Ramirez snapped his 11-game hitting streak with 0-for-4 effort… LA has won six of its last eight on the road… The Dodgers went 5-for-12 with runners scoring position, while Milwaukee went 1-for-4 those instances.

Kemp has put forth a pretty solid big league career with the number 27 on his back. He has 205 homers to his name, a second-place MVP Award finish, a pair of Gold Gloves and Silver Sluggers and.833 lifetime OPS. But it’ll be hard to top his Cactus League batting average when he’s wearing 94 instead: a clean 1. The Padres’ right fielder left his jersey at San ‘s Spring Training facility Peoria before Friday night’s game against the Giants. The club retrieved it from his locker and rushed it to Scottsdale Stadium, but not time for Kemp’s first at-bat of the night. pic or didn’t happen Cassavell! – Janela Kemp promptly smacked a single to right field, before being stranded two batters later on fly ball to center. When Kemp re-emerged to bat the top of the third, he donned the usual No. 27 on his back… He homered. Maybe 27 was the right number for him after all.

The game was tied 95 just prior to the midway point of the frame before Chicago went on 18 run over the next 4

One of the most compelling matchups heading into the game against Minnesota was how well second-year offensive lineman Riley Reiff would hold up against Vikings defensive end. After reviewing all 80 offensive snaps, I’m here to tell you that Reiff did quite well. It wasn’t a Jae Crowder Jersey mistake-free performance, but when you’re going against a former Defensive Player of the Year, you just need to limit the damage. Despite what the box score says, Reiff didn’t surrender a sack. He allowed limited pass-rush pressure and gave up just two hits on quarterback Stafford. ‘s biggest impact came knocking down a pair of Stafford’s quick throws. When the Lions ran the ball to Reiff’s side, he did a nice job of sealing off, as shown the still frame below. That run, from early the first quarter, went for 12 yards. Reiff also did excellent job handling stunts, seamlessly transitioning from to the Everson Griffen on the play below. The negatives for Reiff were a false Jameer Nelson Jersey start penalty and getting beat a handful of times pass protection. got the young offensive tackle with inside move the first quarter, but Stafford was able to get the pass off time to complete a 22-yard strike to tight end Joseph Fauria. The veteran defensive end got around Reiff on the outside and flushed Stafford from the pocket on a 3rd-and-2 the second quarter. The pressure forced incompletion, ending Detroit’s drive. Reiff’s biggest blunder came one play after his false start, when broke free around the edge and delivered a big hit to Stafford while the quarterback was exposed during his throwing motion. Fortunately for the Lions, the play resulted a 27-yard completion to Nate Burleson, converting a 2nd-and-15 and leading to a touchdown four plays later. All all, a respectable debut for Reiff as the team’s full-time starter on the blindside. Next week he’ll draw another stiff challenge Arizona’s Calais Campbell, one of the league’s top 3 defensive ends.

Menu Chicago, IL – Jimmy continued his torrid stretch on Monday night, but didn’t eclipse the 30-point this time. had 27 points, 11 rebounds, five blocks and four assists as the Chicago Bulls recorded a 129 win over the Eastern Conference-leading Toronto Raptors. He scored a career-high 35 points a victory over New on Thursday, then followed it up with a 31-point, 10-rebound performance against Memphis. Derrick netted 29 points, Pau Gasol posted 14 points and nine rebounds and poured 17 points off the bench for the Bulls, who have won six of their last seven games. Lowry tallied 34 points and six boards, while Valanciunas added 20 points and nine rebounds for Toronto, which had its six-game winning streak snapped. I thought our defensive attention to detail wasn’t there, Raptors coach Dwane said. The Bulls, who trailed by as many as 12 the second half, pulled away the fourth by outscoring the Raptors 49.

The game was tied 95 just prior to the midway point of the frame before Chicago went on 18 run over the next 4. had eight points during the surge, which was capped when he drove into the paint and found Noah for a for a 113 margin with 2 remaining. Didn’t too many shots and when he gets a zone like that, it’s tough to stop us, Noah said of. Toronto never got within less than six the rest of the way. The game was knotted at 33 following a quarter of play, but the Raptors outscored the Bulls 33 the second and took a 66 cushion into the locker room. Amir ‘s layup finished off a 12 Toronto burst to stake it to 80 cushion midway through the third, but the Bulls ripped off the next 12 points to tie it. Taj Gibson threw down Gasol’s alley-oop pass to conclude the swing and square the game up at 80. knocked down a left wing 3-pointer on Toronto’s ensuing possession, which lifted it to 83 edge going into the fourth. Chicago was the first of four opponents on the trek with a winning percentage of at least 65 percent… Chicago sunk 43-of-47 free throws and shot 54 percent from the floor.

As Wyngarden heads to trial the 1987 cold case murders of and Brink

HOLLAND, MI – As Wyngarden heads to trial the 1987 cold case murders of and Brink, prosecutors acknowledge the tough police work that got them this far, but say they have plenty of challenges ahead. Twenty-five years after the newly married couple Henry Melton Jersey was shot at their Park Township home, memories of that time are fuzzy for. Two days of testimony Wyngarden’s probable cause hearing this week revealed witnesses who at times said they simply couldn’t remember and couldn’t cite specific days when conversations took place. Now the ball’s our court, Assistant Ottawa County Prosecutor Fisher said Thursday, Feb. 28. He acknowledged the passing years as both a blessing and a challenge. Witnesses were able to speak more matter-of-factly about painful conversations that occurred years ago, things that would be much more difficult to express immediately after a painful tragedy. That was especially true the case of Beelen, who took the witness stand Thursday morning Holland District Court. She spoke with her body turned away from Wyngarden -who was allowed back the courtroom after a series of outbursts Wednesday – but she opened up about a conversation she allegedly had with him years ago. Beelen dated Wyngarden for several years the 1980s and broke up with him not before the Brink murders. They remained friends. He picked her up one day during the week after the couple’s deaths and took her to a park on the north side of Holland, Beelen said, where he told her he had something to tell her, something bad, something terrible.

The conversation that unfolded is one she stayed silent about for years. She only shared memories of it with a sister after detectives reopened the Brink murder case 2011 and then, with her husband. Wyngarden, tears, told her that day something that seemed to weigh on his mind: He finally came out and told me that he had had with. The two were teens – sister and brother – and said ‘no,’ Beelen recalled Wyngarden telling her. He said he just did it. Wyngarden told her of a time he was on a boat with and years later. He was looking at lustfully, Beelen recalled of the conversation, and saw it. The testimony fell line with allegations from prosecutors that Wyngarden executed the Brink murders out of jealously and concern the truth about a sexual relationship would emerge. But other times, the passing years brought challenges. Several witnesses struggled to remember timeframes of conversations with Wyngarden. Some things seemed to Isaiah Frey Jersey come across as hearsay, Defense attorney Hall said, pointing to witnesses who struggled to remember the exact words they heard from Wyngarden. That will effect both sides going forward, Hall said. Other potential witnesses are no longer alive. Testimony concluded Thursday after a surprise of sorts when prosecutors introduced an Ottawa County Jail inmate as the last person who would implicate Wyngarden the slayings.

Cain, who is charged with criminal sexual conduct, told the court of alleged conversations he had with Wyngarden through the door of Wyngarden’s super max cell. Cain learned he was charged with two homicides. Wyngarden told him, Cain testified, that They do have a gun that I used. He said he just felt like he was the outcast of the family. He said his sisters got everything, Cain said. He told the court Wyngarden wrote I killed them on the palm of his hand and put it up to the glass part of his cell. The court fell silent momentarily as Cain said Wyngarden made death threats against his older sister, Murphree, who lives Alabama, allegedly saying he would have killed her if he had known she was going to be like this. Murphree, who was the gallery after testifying the case, put her hand to her mouth. She sat next to Wyngarden’s wife,, who testified through tears Wednesday. The court was notably divided Thursday as the four children of and Pam Wyngarden sat behind the defense table, on the other side of the room from their mother. One row ahead – sitting alone – was Wyngarden and Murphree’s mother, Dorothea Wyngarden. The mother sat court as Murphree testified earlier Thursday that as the family was shock the week after her sister’s murder, Wyngarden said, Sometimes I wonder if I couldn’t have done this. Murphree testified that her brother appeared disinterested as she called him from home weeks after the deaths, looking to vent, to talk with someone who shared her loss. He said, ‘Well, she lived a really good life’… it was like he was trying to make light of it, Murphree testified. But the courtroom gallery throughout the day on Thursday spoke of testimony they did not believe, details that seemed questionable, some things they even called lies. That sentiment was shared the hallway during breaks proceedings. Family members declined to comment after Holland District Judge Bradley ruled there was enough evidence to send Wyngarden’s case to Ottawa County Circuit Court. Hall said he’ll continue to sift through physical evidence the case and look into the people who occupied and Brink’s Park Township home prior to their move. The couple had only resided there for a short time and there was some indication, Hall said, that the murders have been a mistake, intended for someone else. Wyngarden, 50, of Zeeland remains the Ottawa County Jail without bond.

The Steelers just wanted to move on to bigger things: celebrating their title and opening the NFL next Thursday. The whole nation be watching, defensive end Nick Eason said. Jets 38, Eagles 27 At East Rutherford, N.J., Michael Vick saw his first significant action three years, hours after learning he’ll be fully reinstated Week 3. Vick scored on a 2-yard run, but was sacked four times, lost a fumble and threw interception the loss.
